‘More open & very slightly larger than Oval Pan #1. Also made from a smoother Terracotta clay. My reincarnation of the celebrated old Fremington (North Devon) Pottery Standard. The inside is “finger-combed” Peters Marland Ball Clay slip - showing a butter/light brown colour contrast through a light iron glaze. The rim edge is wiped for maximum glaze adhesion. The lower margin outside is left unglazed to reveal the dry porous base clay texture.
